    Screwfix Gift Card Terms & Conditions

     

    • The following terms and conditions apply in addition to Screwfix Direct (Ireland) Limited (“Screwfix”) standard terms and conditions for the sale of goods, as set out at Terms and Conditions.
    • e-Gift Cards are fulfilled by Voucher Express – a trading name of Hemingways Marketing Services B.V. Registered address: Concertgebouwplein 15 H, 1071 LL, Amsterdam, Netherlands. Established 1947. Company Registration number: 75406500. VAT number: NL 860271006B01. Voucher Express is the seller of e-Gift Cards on behalf of Screwfix and all e-Gift Cards remain the property of Screwfix.
    • When you redeem this e-Gift Card you are deemed to accept these terms and conditions in full.
    • This e-Gift Card is available to all residents of the Republic of Ireland who are aged 18 years and over, excluding employees of Screwfix and their immediate families and anyone professionally engaged by Screwfix.
    • e-Gift Cards ordered through this site will be emailed by Voucher Express to the designated email address stated on each individual order immediately, unless a specified later delivery date is requested.
    • To redeem an e-Gift Card, you can either print the e-Gift card and present this to a service assistant in a Trade Counter or display the e-Gift Card on a mobile phone or tablet device.
    • Where possible, Screwfix will try to meet all delivery requirements but neither Voucher Express nor Screwfix shall be liable for any loss incurred either directly or indirectly as a result of failure to meet the delivery date and time indicated at the time of the order being placed. ‘Loss’ in this instance shall include loss of profit, costs, damages, charges and other expenses.
    • You can redeem the balance on the e-Gift Card to buy products at any Screwfix trade counter in the Republic of Ireland. The e-Gift Card cannot be redeemed against purchases made online or by telephone.
    • The e-Gift Card is non-transferrable and cannot be returned or exchanged for cash, credit, or gift vouchers, or used in conjunction with any discount card or other offer. e-Gift Cards are not a cheque guarantee, credit, or charge card.
    • Purchases will be redeemed against the available balance on the e-Gift Card until the balance reaches zero. Any balance remaining on the e-Gift Card can be redeemed against future purchases.
    • You can add money to the e-Gift Card at any time in Euros (€). The minimum balance you can add to the e-Gift Card is €10. The maximum balance that an individual e-Gift Card can hold is €500. For fraud prevention reasons Screwfix is unable to accept business cheques to pay for or top up an e-Gift Card. You can check the balance of your e-Gift Card at any store in the Republic of Ireland during trading hours. See Trade Counters for trading hours.
    • Anything you buy with the e-Gift Card and later return to store shall, subject to and in accordance with the Screwfix returns policy, be refunded to the e-Gift Card. The Screwfix returns policy can be found Screwfix Returns.
    • This e-Gift card will automatically expire without notice if: (a) it has a zero balance for a period of five (5) years, or (b) after five (5) consecutive years of non-use. Any balance remaining on the e-Gift Card at expiry will be deleted and shall not be reimbursed. Only top up, purchase and/or balance enquiries are considered as use of the e-Gift Card.
    • Risk shall pass to You on delivery of the e-Gift Card and title shall pass upon receipt by Screwfix of payment in full. You are solely responsible for the safe keeping of your e-Gift Card. In the event your e-Gift card is used without your consent or is lost, damaged or stolen Screwfix will not replace the card or reimburse any remaining balance.
    • e-Gift Card Quantities should be checked immediately upon receipt. Any discrepancies must be notified immediately. Voucher Express cannot be held responsible for shortage or loss of any e-Gift Card which has not been notified to Screwfix within three days of delivery.
    • Force majeure: Voucher Express cannot be held responsible for failure to meet its service obligations when any failure is brought about due to some cause totally beyond its reasonable control. Examples of this might include acts of God, trade disputes, governmental intervention, fire, flood and disruption to computer and IT infrastructure.
    • Screwfix may take any action it considers appropriate if it has reasonable grounds for believing you are misusing the e-Gift Card scheme. This may include, but not be limited to, withholding all or part of the balance remaining on the e-Gift Card.
    • Screwfix reserves the right to suspend and/or discontinue the e-Gift Card scheme by displaying notices in our trade counters or otherwise. In the event the e-Gift Card scheme is suspended or discontinued, Screwfix will give e-Gift Card holders a reasonable period to redeem any remaining balance. Any balance remaining on the e-Gift Card at the end the e-Gift Card scheme is suspended and/or discontinued shall be automatically deleted without notice.
    • Screwfix reserves the right to revise and amend these terms and conditions from time to time. e-Gift Cards cannot be purchased in conjunction with any applicable discount card or other promotion.
    • Screwfix standard Terms and Conditions apply to all purchases made (see Terms and Conditions) except as otherwise stated here.
    • Voucher Express is not directly linked to Screwfix and can take no responsibility for products and services offered by Screwfix. For the same reason, Screwfix shall not be responsible for services offered by Voucher Express and its associated companies, including without limitation the collection and management of your credit card data and personal information which is collected, processed, and managed by Voucher Express.
    • Screwfix’s use of personal data received in the course of your obtaining and using the e-Gift Card will be in accordance with Screwfix’s Privacy Policy, see Privacy Policy for more details.
    • Screwfix, its parent company, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, or agents shall not be responsible or liable to compensate for any loss, damage (including without limitation loss of profit or reputation, lost, interrupted, or unavailable network service or other connections, or any special, indirect, or consequential loss), occurring as a result of your use of the e-Gift Card.
    • These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
