(29 products)An NVR CCTV system or Network Video Recorder is a kit which uses an IP (internet protocol) camera network to securely monitor a commercial or residential property. There are two types of NVRs, the first is plug and play which connects the cameras wirelessly through Wi-Fi and the second is PoE (Power over Ethernet) which uses ethernet ports to provide the connection. A PoE installation can be more reliable as it does not rely on strong WiFi signal however a Wi-Fi NVR is more straightforward to install in harder to access locations such as an attic, which can prevent tampering or theft. Both types of kits have typically less cables to manage than other systems which can make them easier to manage. NVR systems often have better quality videos than others with the same resolution as it receives a pure digital signal.
