(6 products)A switched extension lead supplies power away from the mains whilst retaining the functionality of switching this on and off at the point of connection rather than the origin. If an electrical source is concealed or hard to get to then having a switchable extension lead can allow for power to be switched off easily, often with individual switches for each socket. This means that separate devices and appliances can operate from the same source but be controlled independently.
